Dr. Tejal Patel attended Rutgers University where she earned her degree in Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She continued her education at University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine where she was the recipient of a number of awards and scholarships and obtained her Doctor of Medical Dentistry, graduating at the top her class. Following dental school, she completed her postgraduate surgical residency training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Hospital where she received world class surgical training in the comprehensive management of a wide array of oral and facial surgical treatments. She is a board certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon and has been practicing full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery since 2002. Her special emphasis is on dental implants, advanced bone grafting techniques, wisdom teeth and general dental extractions, oral pathology and in office sedation. Dr. Patel continues to maintain the highest standards of care by attending numerous conferences and lectures to stay abreast of the latest advances and techniques in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Additionally, she continues to maintain certifications in BLS and ACLS.
As a native of New Jersey, she decided to plant her roots close to home and has been in private practice since 2002. She maintains hospital privileges at Virtua Hospital and Summit Surgical Center where she provides surgical services for more complex cases. Additionally, she enjoys volunteering her time teaching residents at Virtua Hospital. Her community services include various charity functions and donating her time and surgical skills through Dental Lifeline Network. She has been voted “Top Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon” for a number of consecutive years in South Jersey Magazine.
When not treating patients, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children, traveling, fitness activities and cooking.
